ISS Lifestyle and Arun District Council will begin extensive refurbishment works at Norfolk Gardens, Littlehampton this March, which will see the Adventure Golf site in Sea Road temporarily close whilst the work is carried out. This new project is a continuation of ISS’ commitment to invest heavily in outdoor recreation facilities throughout Arun, which has already seen ISS open the ‘Lifestyle in the Gardens Café’ in Norfolk Gardens last year.
The adventure golf course will be completely re-carpeted, with new surrounds and features installed, improving the experience for all. Work is due to commence on Monday 6th March and completed prior to the start of West Sussex’s Easter school holidays. In the near future the 9-hole Par 3 golf course will undergo a makeover including a new entrance, new seating, freshening up of the bunkers as well as some adjustment to the course layout. The three full-sized and four compact-sized tennis courts at Norfolk Gardens will also be re-bonded and repainted ready for the summer season. Work on the courts is due to take place between 15th and 18th March (weather permitting).
Justin Simpson, ISS Lifestyle Manager said:
“I am delighted Norfolk gardens is getting the investment it deserves, it’s a great site with so much for people to do, so to be able to give them better facilities is great news. The site was starting to get tired, the adventure golf was over 20 years old so was in need with an upgrade.”
Councillor Terence Chapman, Cabinet Member for Environmental Services at Arun District Council, said:
“This is one of the parks that ISS Lifestyle pledged to invest in and we are very pleased to see the work get underway. The refurbishments to the adventure golf course and tennis courts will really revitalise the gardens and greatly improve the standard facilities on offer. “I am confident that we will get many positive comments on the finished result, and we expect the park to really draw the crowds over the Easter holidays and in the summer season.”
